Khōrein: Journal for Architecture and Philosophy is a newly established academic journal published by the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade. The journal strives to deepen the dialogue between architecture and philosophy, as well as to constantly question their boundaries. To reach such relations, the journal will publish papers contributing to the theoretical problematization of key concepts and protocols that make the connection between architecture and philosophy possible. In that sense, the most important word in the journal’s name could be the conjunction “and” – the word which assumes the possibility of connecting the two disciplines but does not reveal the complexity of such a connection. This is why the inaugural issues of Khōrein are dedicated to “and.” We believe that diverse reflections on the meaning of this word will best contribute to the journal’s self-thematization.
